How often do you find yourself immediately offering advice or experience when someone close to you shares a challenge they face? It is a common reaction and a tool to building connection. However, by providing possible solutions, you may be getting in the way of them having an opportunity, take ownership, build confidence and grow through the experience.
By utilising your own coaching skills, you enable others to tap into their inner resources. With active listening, open questioning and creating the right conditions, you can enable others to find the answers to their own problems. And you can also use these skills on yourself too - come and find out how.
This workshop introduces you to essential coaching skills that can be applied within all your relationships to foster self-confidence, effective problem-solving as well as giving someone the power of your full attention. During this session, you will:
1. Understand what coaching skills are and how you can use these to empower yourself and those around you
2. Understand the benefits of taking a coaching approach
3. Identify how to use coaching questions to empower others to find their own solutions to problems
4. Reflect on your own coaching skills
5. Practice a coaching conversation
