How we are Governed and Funded

WISH is a registered Community Interest Company (CIC) and a not-for-profit organisation. This means that the money we make through our membership is put back into the organisation and funds the range of activities we carry out to support our members working across the UK housing sector.

We are governed by a CIC Board of Directors and the Board works closely with the WISH central support team to set the strategic direction of our business. The Board meet four times a year, to guide our work and ensure we continue to provide excellent support for our members and the wider housing community.

WISH CIC Board is made up of WISH Regional Board Chairs or Co-Chairs, our Co-Founders, our President and Vice President and our Managing Director. The members of the Board come from across the UK, from the public and private sectors, and bring with them a wealth of unique experience and knowledge.

We are funded through our memberships along with generous support from regional and national sponsors. Our sponsors are like-minded organisations, the support they provide enables us to deliver a fantastic range of events and services effectively and economically for our valued members.

By working in partnership with our sponsors we can create a far greater awareness of WISH and our aims and objectives. Together we can engage with a wider audience to promote our benefits around gender equality and showcase to others our unique approach to networking.
