Naureen’s current role as Partnerships Manager for the Public Sector has a specific focus on the housing sector providing them with solution focused support for their procurement needs. Her 14 years’ experience in social housing, primarily within the areas of development and housing management, affords her a great insight into the challenges faced by the housing sector from the viewpoint of both client and private companies/landlords. She prides herself on her natural strength of relationship building, collaborating, networking and promoting diversity and inclusion. She also is an ambassador and mentor for Housing Diversity Network (HDN). Aside from the housing sector she is an ambassador for the Clive Smith foundation to raise awareness of male suicide within the construction sector. 

Naureen’s housing journey began with working within a well-respected regeneration project as part of the housing management team, which inspired her to appreciate the rewards of such work and to progress within the development areas of new build and regeneration.  This led to her managing, training and mentoring a future generation of housing professionals and she continues to be passionate in supporting apprentices and those who want to re-train in the housing industry. 

She thrives on organisation and especially enjoys planning community events and fundraising campaigns raising funds for a variety of charities.

Lynsey has over 12 years of experience in the housing industry, spanning legal, financial budgeting, marketing, business development and procurement. Currently, she is with Breyer Group, a leading construction company in the South East, where she contributes to projects focused on building safety, decarbonisation, energy efficiency, refurbishment, roofing and repairs. Her role involves executing critical projects and ensuring clients achieve their desired outcomes through innovative solutions and strategic collaboration.

With a passion for sustainability, Lynsey is enthusiastic about decarbonizing housing stock. She has firsthand experience with the UK’s first whole house retrofitting scheme and Europe's largest GSHP project.

Lynsey is deeply committed to female representation in STEM, construction, and social housing. As a Board Member for Women In Social Housing (WISH), she shares informative and technical content to encourage women to break through glass ceilings and challenge gender stereotypes.

Mia has worked in the social housing industry for almost a decade; she specialises in building surveying, compliance and building safety.  She is now responsible for building safety at Town and Country Housing which involves ensuring that compliance is achieved and that residents are provided with safe homes.

Whilst working, she continued to pursue her passion in construction by achieving an MSc in Building Surveying.  Mia is very ambitious and is never afraid to explore new ideas and loves a challenge.

Mia’s WISH is to promote and motivate more women to consider technical careers by sharing her journey within the sector.

I’ve worked in Social Housing for 18 years in various roles, from contact centre to repairs to IT and Development.  I have a great understanding of the challenges faced in the sector and have lots of contacts in the industry.  I’ve recently moved to Wates as a Business Development Manager predominantly working with public sector partners like Registered Providers and Local Authorities.  I also work with Employer’s Agents, Valuers, Architects, Funding partners such as Homes England, the GLA, and BTR providers.

I’m passionate about Social Housing and excited to be joining WISH South East as a board member.

Personally, I have a husband, 2 children (well they are both adults now) a crazy Labrador and a princess of a cat.  I love to travel, so am always looking for my next adventure.

Meg came to the industry in 2018 on the contractual side and worked in a variety of roles, before finally finding her passion in Client Relationships & Business Development.

At Cablesheer, Meg is responsible for bringing in new business opportunities to all divisions and ensuring existing clients are happy with their service. She is also responsible for marketing, social value, and bid management.

Having worked alongside the Housing Sector for the entirety of her career, Meg is driven in property compliance and ensuring resident safety.

Hello! I’m Rebecca Sandhu and I’m currently the Director of Customer Excellence at Plentific, a leading Property Solutions Company dedicated to enhancing the property operations of various social housing clients. With nearly 15 years of experience in the sector, including a significant tenure at L&Q Housing, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the transformative impact of effective property management on resident experiences.

At Plentific, my role centers on overseeing Client Management and our Customer Excellence Hub, where I work tirelessly to ensure the success of our social housing clients. My mission is to streamline operations and elevate the quality of services provided, making a real difference in the lives of residents.

I joined WISH (Women in Social Housing) because I believe in the power of community and the importance of supporting one another. WISH creates an incredible platform where women come together to share their experiences and learn from each other. Each event I’ve attended has been a source of inspiration and growth, reinforcing the idea that collaboration can lead to meaningful change.

A significant part of my motivation for joining WISH is my desire to help women navigate their careers in social housing. I’m passionate about sharing my journey and the lessons I’ve learned along the way. Together, we can empower one another to achieve our professional goals and break down barriers in our industry.

I am also thrilled to have been selected as a Board Member for the South East region of WISH. This opportunity allows me to contribute even more to our community, advocating for women in social housing and working to create an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.

As I embark on this new journey, I’m eager to connect with fellow professionals, share insights and foster a network of support that uplifts us all. Let’s continue to champion excellence and create a brighter future for women in our field!

My name is Josie currently working as Associate Director at Build Recruitment, I started off as a delivery consultant 3 years ago and worked hard to climb the ladder and be where I am today at Director level, I aspire to women within the sector who are reaching levels of opportunities through hard work and driven attitudes.

I work with a mixture of contractors and clients to help support their recruitment needs and support businesses with offering services to provide them with trade operatives and advice in the sector. I feel lucky to have the opportunity to work in an environment where I get to meet with such inspirational and different personalities of people at different levels, I have built many relationships so far in my career and am continuing to grow my network in the social housing sector.

Anna is a FRICS Chartered Quantity Surveyor / Employers Agent and has been working in the Social Housing sector with calfordseaden for over 20 years.

Anna has a passion to inspire the next generation, due to her personal experience as an apprentice, and now a STEM ambassador her desire to support aspiring surveyors, she has taken an active role in leading work experience programmes at calfordseaden. This tireless advocacy for the surveying profession also saw Anna take up the year-long mantle of RICS Matrics National Chair 2018-19.

After returning from maternity leave Anna knew she wanted to continue giving back, the opportunity to join WISH South East was the perfect fit.   Anna is a great advocate for supporting, encouraging and empowering Women to grow into their career and hopes to be a good role model for her daughter.

I’ve worked in Social Housing for 8 years in various roles at Southern Housing from IT Project Manager to New Business Manager in Development.  I then worked as a Bid Manager at Wates, bidding for varied sites across the South and London.  I love working with different stakeholders and one of my favourite projects was taking a scheme through planning in London and working closely with the architects and planners.  I feel lucky to be in the sector as I feel we really can make a difference to people’s lives – a home is more than just bricks and mortar. 

The gender gap in construction was particularly evident when I did my HNC in Construction, where about 95% of the students were male.  The imbalance in the UK Housing sector needs to change and I hope we can inspire more women into the sector through our work at WISH.  I’m really excited to be a Board member at WISH. 

Personally, I got married in May 2024 and have a 19 month old little boy called Ralph, which means I get a lot less sleep than I used to and fully understand the juggles of parenthood and working! 

I am a qualified Nutritionist and am known for my random food selections!

I have worked in Social Housing for 15 years; specialising in Financial Inclusion, Income Recovery and more recently in Wellbeing and Inclusion. I am passionate about exploring and removing barriers to create an inclusive and belonging work culture. I have a particular interest in women's health with a focus on Menopause. I have recently trained as a Menopause Mentor and Mental Health First Aider.  I am excited to have this incredible opportunity of joining the board of South East WISH and I am honored to be part of such an inspiring and passionate organisation.
