Dear Network,
You are invited to join WISH North West for an Online Awaabs Law Webinar on 25th November at 12.30pm.
Guest speakers include Nadhia Khan (former Executive Director of Customers and Communities at Rochdale Boroughwide Housing) and experts from MSB Solicitors.
Our hosts:
Amy Tagoe (MSB Solicitors) - Partner
Bethan Hall (Hamilton Woods Associates)- Director
Our main speaker:
Nadhia Khan - Consultant and Exec Director
Nadhia Khan has over 37 years experience of working in social housing having started her career as a Trainee Housing Assistant after leaving school. She worked her way up in housing management services and spent some time working in transformation services before moving to Rochdale Boroughwide Housing (RBH). During her career she has managed customer facing services including neighbourhoods, repairs and assets. She was the only person in the organisation that attended the full inquest into the tragic death of toddler Awaab Ishak due to prolonged exposure to damp and mould and has a deep understanding of the circumstances surrounding this case. She uses that insight to share learning with the social housing sector to avoid such a tragedy occurring in future.
Nadhia recently left RBH to work as an independent consultant and has over 30 years experience of serving as a Board and Committee member of various housing organisations at a local, regional and national level. She gained her CIH Membership in 1993, an MBA in Public Policy from the University of Birmingham in 2003 and a Post Graduate Certificate Leadership for Housing in 2009 from the University of Lancaster.
