WISH London Event: Charity Fundraiser Trek for Choose Housing

Transport: There are several good tube links at either end of the challenge

Dear WISH Members,

This year, the WISH London team is proud to be fundraising for CIH President, Elly Hoult’s CHOOSE Housing campaign. As part of our efforts, we will be participating in the 10 km Thames Bridges Trek, raising vital funds for Barnardo’s—an organisation dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people across the UK.

Elly’s presidential initiative is focused on showcasing the rewarding career opportunities within the housing sector, encouraging greater diversity, and inspiring future talent. Housing is a sector that positively impacts communities and provides a sense of belonging and stability to people’s lives. Through this campaign, Elly aims to highlight the importance of attracting diverse, talented individuals to the profession while fostering an environment that celebrates inclusivity and innovation.

Crucially, the CHOOSE Housing campaign also supports Barnardo’s, which offers essential services to young people facing adversity. Barnardo’s helps children and young people tackle challenges, overcome barriers, and prepare for adulthood through practical assistance, career development, and emotional support. By championing this cause, we aim to contribute to Barnardo’s ongoing efforts to empower vulnerable young people and provide them with the tools to build brighter futures.
