Women in Social Housing (WISH) has launched the fifth series of its popular If I Had One WISH podcast, with WISH President Crystal Hicks turning the spotlight onto the male allies helping to drive positive change across the housing sector.
Here Come the Boys is a new series that brings together six influential leaders and changemakers for honest conversations about allyship, leadership, inclusion and the collective responsibility we all share in creating a more equitable future.
Hosted by Crystal Hicks, each episode explores how men can actively support gender equity - not simply by standing alongside women, but by helping to challenge bias, influence organisational culture and create environments where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
The series features conversations with:
Across the series, guests discuss topics ranging from tenant advocacy and inclusive leadership to social value, innovation, workplace culture and the importance of authentic male allyship within housing and beyond.
Speaking about the series, Crystal Hicks said:
"Creating a more inclusive sector isn't women's work; it's everyone's work. Throughout this series I've had the privilege of speaking to men who are using their influence, experience and leadership to help create positive change. These conversations are honest, thought-provoking and, above all, hopeful. They show what becomes possible when we stop seeing equality as a women's issue and start recognising it as a shared responsibility."
The new series builds on WISH's ongoing commitment to championing equity, inclusion and diverse leadership across the housing sector, while encouraging open conversations that inspire practical action.
Whether listeners are experienced leaders, emerging professionals or passionate allies, Here Come the Boys offers fresh perspectives on how collaboration and allyship creates stronger organisations and stronger communities.
