Our Long (and short!) Haired Ladies From Liverpool

WISH donned our networking bridge coats in Liverpool on 8th September, where we spotted many a new WISH member through our trusty periscope!

At the end of the Summer, WISH North West held our National Networking Event ‘Male Allyship in Action’ on board the good ship Daffodil on Canning Dock, which went swimmingly. Guest speakers included shipmates Lee Hartley, CEO at Novus, James Flemming, Managing Director at The Power Within, Andrew Buckels,  Sector Principal at Waterstons and Phil Pemberton, Director of Assets at Riverside.

All hands were on deck as attendees were treated to networking, guest speakers and a delicious lunch, as well as the opportunity to take part in a prize draw!

Huge congratulations were in order for the lovely Jo Weir, Head of Partnerships at Westworks Procurement, one of our newest WISH members, who donated her £50 prize donation to the fabulous Ben Saunders Foundation. The charity supports children and young adults with cancer across the UK.

No one was forced to walk the plank, in fact, attendees to the Daffodil event marched on to the Housing Community Summit nearby, where the celebrations continued and we were excited to meet so many of our crew members, new and old, from near and f’arrgh face to face!

We’d like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the wonderful people who made our Liverpool networking event at Canning Dock such a success.
