Unfurling our petals across the Emerald Isle: A Warm Welcome From WISH Northern Ireland

WISH members and non-members alike joined WISH Northern Ireland for an exclusive networking event alongside the International Social Housing Festival (ISHF) in Dublin on 5^th June!

This was a fantastic opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals, meet the WISH Northern Ireland board members, and share insights on social housing experiences across both sides of the border.

Connection through storytelling

There is an Irish proverb “Níl aon tinteán mar do thinteán féin” which translates as “There is no hearth like your own hearth”, and perfectly highlighted the value in the comfort and warmth of home. 

This special gathering explored the social values of home through storytelling, and featured inspiring voices from across the housing sector. Our headline speaker, Lisa Strutt, shared insights on leadership and resilience, followed by an engaging Q&A panel facilitated by Clara Robinson (NIFHA).

The event also resonated deeply with our own WISH Northern Ireland Chair, Agnes Crawford, who started out her career as a young apprentice florist before growing, blossoming and maturing into her current role as Chief Executive of Grove Community Housing. Sharing stories and experiences builds connection and inspires the imagination to dream bigger, and collaborate on a grander scale.

Our guests enjoyed a complimentary evening drink and connected with fellow Women from every level and professional segment in social housing and the built environment.
