WISH North East: Celebrating the Women of the North East in Style

On Friday 6^th March WISH North East hosted almost 150 colleagues from across the housing sector for their annual International Women's Day celebration.

The day was sponsored by Salesforce and Alscient, and menus for the day were sponsored by North Star.

Dame Irene Hays of Hays Travel was our amazing keynote speaker and talked about Leading with purpose, reminding everyone that each person in an organisation is responsible for its success and talking about some of the challenges she has faced in her inspiring career journey.

Jude Comber from Alscient opened the event with an excellent account of her own journey from housing to tech and we finished the day with a fabulous panel of WISH women. These are women who have been involved in WISH in various guises talking to the room about how WISH has influenced them and the power of the network. 

The room was alive with networking, chatter, and inspiring stories and we used the celebratory event to support local charity, Feeding Families, who raised over £1000 on the day to support families in the North East.
