Wishing you a very warm welcome to our Summer Newsletter and hoping wherever you are reading from today, the temperatures are a little cooler than of late - and that your summer is off to a great start!
A huge thank you to everyone who has contributed to another packed edition, and for totally embracing the 'rewilding' theme, and a whole host of meaningful analogies and reflections which no doubt will resonate with you all in so many ways both professionally and personally.
It's been a busy few months in the world of WISH - up, down and across the UK - with a plethora of successful events, and networking and learning opportunities. It's been impossible to capture everything in one place, but we hope you enjoy the highlights we've showcased for you in this newsletter. Amongst those, I had the pleasure and privilege of going along to my first WISH 'Living Our Values' Awards in April in London, to celebrate with regional Board Members who had been nominated by their supportive peers, and kindly supported by Lovell Partnership, one of our longstanding national sponsors.
And in May I enjoyed my first visit to CIH Brighton (and indeed my first ever visit to Brighton itself) and such a great opportunity to meet in person with so many of you as our valued members, sponsors and friends of WISH in one place. A fantastic event and special thanks to Etec and calfordseaden for their generous sponsorship.
The events kept on giving, and the pinnacle for me was spending quality time at Housing Manchester in June, including celebrating WISH colleagues as finalists across 4 categories at the Women in Housing/Housing Heroes Awards night.
Events like these don't happen without an army of support, dedication and energy behind the scenes and massive thanks to every colleague who played a part, large and small, in making them happen.
For now, happy reading, and whatever your plans over the Summer, hope you have time to rest, recharge, and, of course, to rewild....September will soon be upon us, and with that in mind, we look forward to seeing you in Liverpool for the NHF/CIH Housing Community Summit 2026.
