WISH London - The Women leading the UK's largest housing associations share their career secrets at sold out WISH event

WISH London was proud to host an event that brought together the women leading some of the country’s biggest social housing providers at Blake Morgan’s central London offices last night. 

The panel consisted of Network Homes’ CEO, Helen Evans, Hyde Group’s CEO, Elaine Bailey, Notting Hill Genesis’ CEO, Kate Davies and One Housing Group’s Group Director, Ria Bailes. 

The women offered practical advice and tips about how to make a success of a career in social housing, mixed in with some humour when one CEO admitted “I went for my male managers’ role because I knew I could do a better job!” 

A member of WISH London, Sarah Smith, who attended the event commented, “the speakers all came across as completely authentic and relatable. It was a fantastic evening.”

Chairing the event was new CEO of the National Housing Federation, Kate Henderson, who said it was her first event speaking externally on behalf of the NHF. “I’m delighted I could chair this evening’s event. The sector has come along way in recent years supporting women in leadership roles, but there is still a lot we can do. Events like this are crucial for encouraging the next generation of women leaders in the sector”.
