On 12th April, WISH North Wales hosted an event all about how to build your career and be promotion ready. More than forty WISH members and friends attended the breakfast seminar, at Wales and West offices in Deeside.
The interactive workshop was facilitated by Anthony Taylor whose extensive experience helping ambitious people and teams achieve more than they thought themselves capable of, was clearly evident, empowering the group and providing us with practical tools, ideas and approaches that we can apply to build our careers and progress to where we want to be. These included:
For those who may be considering further studies to augment their existing skills, we invited
Nina Ruddle, Head of Policy and Engagement for Glwyndwr University in Wrexham to tell us all about a new public leadership degree course that will be shortly launching at the University.
Do Well UK Ltd, continued their much appreciated support of WISH North Wales by sponsoring the event. Sheena McDonnel, one of Do-Well’s associates told us all about the Do-Well team and the support they provide to a wide variety of organisations, people and places to Do Well.
Feedback from the event was very positive, with comments including:
Excellent session, very informative and I have taken away lots of tips and practical advice that I will be able to implement.
Creative, innovative and interactive.
Wish it could have been a full day event – excellent speaker and motivator.
A follow up session on interview skills was requested by many attendees and we are pleased to confirm that this is now in planning with Anthony once again, agreeing to facilitate.
