WISH Scotland Festive Event: Neurodiversity in Women and Christmas Quiz

The WISH Scotland Christmas event, hosted by Hanover (Scotland) Housing Association Ltd and sponsored by Kingdom Housing Association, was a resounding success, with an incredible turnout of empowered women from across the sector. The day was filled with positivity, energy, and meaningful conversations that truly showcased the spirit of WISH.

Insightful Talks and Inspiration

We were privileged to hear from Aileen Carson and Lorraine Gillies FRSA, who delivered an insightful session on neurodiversity. Their words resonated with the audience, sparking meaningful reflection on both personal and professional experiences.

Sarah Steel, Head of HR and OD at Hanover (Scotland) Housing Association, also took the stage, sharing the impactful work being done to improve women’s health and wellbeing. Sarah’s passion for driving forward Hanover’s People and Engagement strategy was truly inspiring, as she highlighted the importance of creating supportive, inclusive environments.

A Festive Atmosphere

Of course, no Christmas event would be complete without some fun—and this year’s Christmas quiz delivered exactly that! It brought plenty of laughs and festive cheer, making it a perfect way to round off a successful day. The lively and supportive atmosphere made networking a breeze, with attendees sharing ideas freely, knowing they were heard and appreciated. The WISH board members played a fantastic role in welcoming and engaging with new attendees, ensuring everyone felt part of the WISH community.

As WISH Scotland continues to grow, we are excited to announce the plans for next year’s events:

• Breakfast Session: 5 March 2025, Edinburgh (linked to CIH Scotland Housing Festival and International Women’s Day)

• Socialudo: 30 May 2025, Govan Library, Glasgow

• 3rd Birthday Celebration: 18 September 2025, Wheatley House, Glasgow

• Christmas Event: 11 December 2025 (TBC), Hanover Scotland
