WISH South West Spring Newsletter


The South West region began 2018 with enthusiasm and a lively board meeting at the offices of Clarke Willmott in Bristol at the end of January.

The following events are planned for 2018 – Don’t forget to Save the Dates!

  1. Women suffering Harassment/Domestic Violence – Is the Balance of Power Changing? 23 April 2018 at 1pm. Speakers – Alison Inman, CIH President and Anna Smith, CEO of One25 in Bristol, a charity which aims to get sex workers off the streets of the city. Venue – Bath/Bristol – tbc.
  2. Networking Event and WISH SW Membership Drive – Wednesday 16th May 12 noon at Horts Pub on Broad Street in Bristol – a repeat of last year’s highly successful networking lunch event, right next door to the CIH SW conference.
  3. Innovations in Housing – 19th or 20th July 2018 in Weston super Mare. A chance to hear about Tomorrow’s World – applications in Housing for virtual reality and innovations which could have the added bonus of environmental benefits.
  4. Negotiating Skills – September 2018 in Southampton. An opportunity for members to brush up on their skills of persuasion and negotiation to get the results you want!
  5. Christmas Networking Event – Bristol/Bath – 13th December
