WISH SW - Spring Newsletter

WISH SW has continued its run of holding informative and entertaining events. We held a Networking Skills event on March 23rd, kindly hosted by sponsors, Blake Morgan Solicitors in Southampton. WISH SW board members Michelle Thomas and Dee O'Neill provided hints and tips on how to 'read' a room when you first walk in so that you can approach individuals or groups of people with ease; explained what a good 'networking suit' is and how to follow up on leads to ensure business success. Michelle and Dee both have backgrounds in the male-dominated world of development and construction and have around fifty years of networking experience between them! The event was well attended by women who are both new to the world of social housing and those who were looking to brush up their skills.

Look out for other forthcoming events across the South West including Personal Effectiveness in June in both Swindon and Southampton and The Future of Social Housing in September in Yeovil, Bristol and Southampton.

A big thank you to Clarke Willmott in Bristol and in particular, Victoria James, who has supported WISH SW for a number of years, sending out invitations and dealing with responses and follow ups to our events. We are going to do this in-house in future, so please bear with us if at times we are not as responsive as we have been!
