An interactive, informative and practical morning allowing those attending to explore how they present, how they want to present and what this actually feels like.
Richard Pascoe shared his knowledge and experience and led an engaging session outlining the different archetypes (characters) that we all relate to from stories when presenting and how these each evoke different emotions within the audience. The session raised the significance of how we present rather than just what we present. With a practical emphasis to the session, individuals learnt through action by embodying the different archetypes each presenting to the rest of the group with much amusement. This made the seemingly scary and practical aspect of the session enjoyable and memorable. The session was a great success.
The morning was well received by those attending with people saying that it had given them ideas for what and how to present in different situations they had coming up.
One person in attendance outlined that they would happily explore styles of presenting in more detail and would definitely attend similar sessions in the future.
We would like to thank Richard Pascoe who gave his time for free and Leeds Federated Housing for kindly hosting this event.
