Held at Impact Arts in Glasgow, the event was expertly facilitated by Professor Vikki McCall, Professor of Social Policy at The University of Stirling and Co-founder and Creative Director of Socialudo, Stirling.
The event, supported by Elderpark Housing and Altro Limited, was opened by Kirsty Wells, Chair of WISH Scotland which champions women in the housing sector by providing inspiring events and opportunities to network.
Under Professor McCall's guidance, participants engaged in serious games designed to unlock leadership potential, foster confidence, and ignite creative approaches to community based challenges.
The hands-on activities were centered around real-world strategic and operational dilemmas, enabling participants to explore different leadership styles and strategies, build essential communication and decision-making skills, and engage in honest and challenging conversations about leadership.
Participants left the session with renewed energy, practical insights, and a deeper understanding of systems thinking, courtesy of the active, experiential learning approach championed by Socialudo.
Kirsty Wells, Chair of WISH Scotland commented: “This was one of the best WISH Scotland events we’ve held to date. Our delegates fully embraced the purpose of the game and found it challenging and thought-provoking but also lots of fun.
“There was a huge amount of laughter in the room as people role-played their various parts. The Socialudo team have created a unique experience for people to face having to make decisions that impact in a range of ways”.
Professor Vikki McCall, Co-founder and Creative Director of Socialudo said: "It was incredible to see how powerful play can be in unlocking leadership potential. This event wasn’t about traditional leadership training, it was about real conversations, real dilemmas, and giving women the tools to lead in their own authentic way.
"At Socialudo, we’re all about making learning meaningful, accessible, and fun and the energy in the room proved just how impactful that can be. We’re so inspired by WISH Scotland and the work they do to support and champion women across the housing sector - it’s a joy to collaborate with them!"
