WISH Podcast Series Two Launch! The Presidents

WISH is delighted to announce the launch of its highly anticipated second podcast series, "The Presidents: Celebrating Female Leadership in Housing."

This new series brings together some of the most influential and inspiring women in the housing sector to share their insights, challenges, and remarkable career journeys.

Featuring esteemed leaders Elly Hoult (CIH President), Jill Murray (Ex-CIH President), Aileen Evans (Ex-CIH President), Tracey McEachran (Current WISH President), and Lara Oyedele (Ex-CIH President), this series aims to highlight the transformative campaigns, personal stories, and innovative visions that have shaped the sector.

Highlights from the Series:

Elly discusses her Choose Housing campaign, a call to action for housing to become a career of choice for all.

Jill revisits her impactful Be EPIC campaign and her advocacy work for veterans experiencing homelessness.

Aileen shares the journey behind her Shine A Light campaign, emphasizing mental health awareness across the sector.

Tracey, the first President of WISH, reflects on her Hear Her Voice campaign and outlines opportunities for future growth.

Lara recounts her journey from homelessness to becoming a powerful advocate through her In Her Shoes campaign.

The podcast also celebrates the appointment of Crystal Hicks as WISH’s new President. Crystal introduces her ‘See Her’ campaign in the series, setting the stage for an exciting new chapter in WISH’s mission to empower women in housing.

“It has been a privilege to work alongside such an amazing calibre of women throughout my career. I’m really looking forward to cementing my role as President and to the launch of my ‘See her’ campaign".

The campaign focuses on the positive impact social housing providers can achieve by understanding tenants’ experience through a gendered lens. Current WISH President Tracey McEachran officially passes the baton to Crystal in May, coinciding with the campaign launch.
