We have an exciting opportunity for someone to undertake the role of Financial Information Manager.

Reporting to the Financial Services Manager and Service Director of Finance, you will lead and support the delivery of finance services making a positive and proactive contribution to the overall financial strategy, financial viability and management of the organisation.

What you'll be doing:

• You’ll play a proactive role in supporting the Finance team at WDH to provide an effective finance function for the organisation in promoting and improving the services provided.
• Ensuring the team has the skills, capabilities, systems, controls and processes to deliver the finance and treasury strategies successfully.
• To achieve this you will be involved with developing plans and performance targets for the finance team which contribute to the delivery WDH Business Strategy objectives
• You will be responsible for the outcomes, direction, leadership and motivation of the Finance team through line managers and develop the capacity, competencies and motivation of the Finance Team.
• Whilst doing this you will be a champion of developments to the finance accounting systems to deliver effective financial controls and improved efficiencies within the finance function and across the whole of the organisation;

What we're looking for:

• The successful candidate will also be someone who has previous experience within a Finance function of a large organisation and has the ability to deliver results under pressure to tight deadlines.
• Up to date experience of accounting systems and financial reporting standards is also important to the role and you will need to be able to have ability to interpret relevant information, analyse complex data, review alternate solutions and come to informed conclusions.
• You will be responsible for, leading and managing the annual business plan and budgeting process to ensure appropriate consultation with all delegated budget holders.
• Monitor and regularly report on the key financial indicators and operational performance and to recommend appropriate action; co-ordinate and finalise the production of the organisations monthly management accounts reporting pack, regulatory financial returns including the Financial Forecast Return, and all relevant reports to the Corporate Management Team, Board and Committees.
