We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual for the role of Health and Safety Co-ordinator in the Governance & Integration Directorate. Working within the Health and Safety Team you will support our commitment to keep our colleagues, customers, contractors and stakeholders safe.

 

About the role:

This is a new role within our Health and Safety team reporting into the Group Health and Safety Manager, through collaborative working with colleagues across Karbon, this role will be paramount in contributing to ensuring that our colleagues are safe.

The Health and Safety Coordinator will contribute to the day-to-day management of our health and safety management systems, including maintenance of our health and safety training data and our out-of-hours on-call rota, as well as assisting in the development of health and safety training programmes and programme delivery and providing administrative duties for the Health and Safety Team all to assist in meeting Karbon’s statutory obligations.

You will be given the opportunity to influence and shape the creation of this new role within the organisation, you will need to regularly liaise with colleagues and contractors whilst using systems and procedures as part of our strategic and operational approach to health and safety management.

 

About you:

We are looking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who has excellent communication skills and the ability to work pro-actively and collaboratively with others to undertake the post of Health and Safety Coordinator within the Health and Safety Team.

  • Health and Safety Coordinator
  • Salary is £27,442 per annum plus a Karbon car payment of £2152 per annum
  • Location: Gosforth, Stanley or Newburn (To be agreed)
  • Regular travel will be required
  • 37 Hours per week with some homeworking available/flexible working
