About the role:
As Remediation Legal Compliance Manager, you'll support the delivery of Peabody's fire remediation legal compliance and grant funding programme. Reporting to the Senior Fire Remediation Legal Compliance Manager, you'll lead a team of three while ensuring robust governance, regulatory compliance and effective management of legal obligations across a complex remediation portfolio.
You'll work closely with colleagues across the Property, Legal, Governance and Fire Remediation teams to ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act, support grant funding applications and maintain critical records that underpin programme delivery.
What You'll Do:
• Maintain comprehensive land registry title hierarchies, lease reviews and obligation records across the fire remediation portfolio
• Prepare and submit grant funding applications to relevant government bodies and monitor application progress
• Support the delivery of Homes England Cladding Safety Scheme requirements, including reporting, administration and coordination activities
• Monitor emerging legislation and regulatory developments, ensuring colleagues understand their responsibilities and any changes to compliance requirements
• Produce compliance reports and support governance reporting relating to fire remediation activity
• Maintain asset, liability and compliance records, ensuring information is accurate, accessible and auditable
• Support litigation management, risk assessments and the implementation of compliance controls across the programme
• Ensure governance processes, procedures and document controls remain robust and compliant with organisational requirements
• Build strong relationships across the business to support effective programme delivery and positive resident outcomes
What You'll Need:
• Significant experience in a legal, compliance, governance or regulated environment
• Experience managing, coaching and developing teams
• Strong knowledge of complex leases, land registry titles and property-related legal obligations
• Understanding of building safety legislation, regulatory compliance or governance frameworks
• Experience maintaining accurate records, managing compliance programmes and producing governance reports
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• A law degree or relevant legal qualification would be advantageous
