You'll work with our residents and communities to help them thrive, offering targeted actions and delivering a holistic customer service approach.

  • To be responsible for the social and financial performance of a designated portfolio of homes across a defined area.
  • To ensure that communities and individual tenancies remain sustainable for as long as possible employing tailored actions to reduce failed tenancies.
  • Deliver an excellent customer focused service that is accessible and visible and results in high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Identify support needs and deliver person-centered actions, either directly or through partner agencies, along with information, advice and guidance.
  • Be visible out in the community and be the first point of contact, getting to know our customers and tailoring service to their needs 
  • Take ownership for customer queries through to a successful resolution and ensure lessons learnt are built into future service delivery.
  • Use the pre-tenancy assessment process to identify and deliver any additional support, ensuring allocations are sustainable.
  • Deliver targeted actions and interventions in partnership with external stakeholders to improve the sustainability of communities.
  • Ensure empty properties are re-let in the most efficient and effective way by adopting an innovative and dynamic approach to marketing and allocating.
  • Be responsive to incidences of Anti Social Behaviour using a range of tools and techniques to prevent and tackle issues and adopting a multi-agency approach. To include preparing legal cases and taking them to Court and providing support and protection for all parties involved.
  • Plan and deliver effective resident engagement events and campaigns, taking time to listen and act on feedback.
  • Record the outcomes and impact of engagement, promote to residents and use the results to improve satisfaction levels and make meaningful improvements.
  • Promote the principles of safeguarding whilst having a comprehensive understanding of child protection and vulnerable adult issues.
  • Complete regular inspections and manage all communal areas to ensure that health and safety regulations are complied with, including keeping areas free from hazards, and implementing the recommendations from Fire Risk Assessments. 
  • Deliver performance to various agreed KPIs for each service area covered, including voids, ASB, tenancy sustainment, income and social value. 
  • Effective contract management of communal service contractors and resolution of customer queries e.g. grounds maintenance, cleaning.
  • Work collaboratively to ensure aids and adaptations are dealt with effectively and promptly.
  • Support the delivery of corporate objectives, helping transform the way services are designed and delivered to ensure they meet the demand and expectation of customers. 
  • Support the delivery of robust income management recovery service, starting with new rent accounts at tenancy sign up. 
  • Ensure all health and safety related policy, procedures, safe systems of work and control measures are implemented. 
  • Ensure all our records are accurate and maintained in line with appropriate guidelines including confidential and GDPR and make effective use of our ICT applications.
  • Assist and support in the preparation of any reports, to Board, NRG, EMT and other Committees, as required. 
  • Provide cover for other officers as and when required.
  • Undertake other duties and responsibilities as may be specified by the Community Housing Manager/ Assistant Director of Neighbourhoods and which are commensurate with the level of the job.
