Come and make a difference at Karbon as a Money Matters Caseworker
We’re looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual for the role of Money Matters Caseworker in the Money Matters Team. The Money Matters Team provides a full welfare rights and money advice service.
About The Role:
As a Money Matters Caseworker, you could start the day helping a client in crisis and end it writing a PIP appeal submission. On the way, you might identify the need for debt advice or help someone to access employability support. From providing one off advice, working with partners to help people remove barriers to achieve their goals, and supporting clients with multiple complex cases two days are never the same for a Money Matters Caseworker.
About You:
You’re an experienced adviser with recent and substantial experience providing a welfare rights service up to and including acting as a representative to support service users during benefit appeals. You’re able to demonstrate your work with clients through professional and efficient case recording, and you keep your clients feeling supported throughout the advice process. You set clear goals and maintain high standards of work through busy periods. You contribute to a positive environment and work, and you’re open to trying new ways of working for the benefit of customers, contributing to the effectiveness of the team and the service.
Working With Us:
The successful candidates will work in our Money Mattersteam led by the Money Matters Team Manager, Steve McCreedy. If you require further information about the role, please contact Steve on 0191 223 8453 or email [email protected]
Key Detail:

A criminal record will not exclude a candidate from being appointed because of offences that are irrelevant to, and do not place them at, or make them a risk in the role they’re applying for.
The role you're applying for is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (ROA). The successful candidate(s) must submit an enhanced disclosure and barring check application during pre-employment checks.
