We’re looking for a Marketing & Communications Officer, to join our team and work across the three companies within the Echelon Group.

You will support our Head of Marketing and Communications in implementing the marketing strategy and promoting the work of the group, which comprises Echelon Consultancy, Pretium Frameworks and Echelon Improvement Partnerships.

Echelon, a leading procurement consultancy, specialises in providing advice ,support and training to public sector housing organisations, primarily in the field of asset management, while Pretium develops and manages specialist PCR 2015-compliant frameworks on behalf of contracting authorities operating in the public sector. EIP focuses on sharing best practice and industry knowledge, managing Echelon’s networking and best practice club AMIP, as well as the annual Echelon Conference.

We’re looking for someone who can work well under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and prioritise their workload. The ideal candidate will be a resourceful self-starter, who can work independently, with excellent copywriting and proofreading skills and a strong grasp of grammar. Knowledge of the housing sector would be an advantage but is not an essential requirement.

While our office is in St Albans this position is mostly home based and not restricted by geography. However, travel to St Albans, as well as key events across the UK will be required from time to time.

 

The role will include:

• Writing a wide range of copy

• Updating the company websites

• Managing social media accounts

• Supporting the wider team at events and exhibitions

• Working with graphic designers to produce marketing collateral

 

Essential skills:

• Confident in writing a wide range of content.

• Strong grasp of grammar

• Excellent proofreading skills

 

Desirable skills:

• Knowledge of the housing sector

• Experience of managing social media accounts
